I leave you with a smile -
A proud and confident genius makes a bet with an idiot. The genius says "Hey idiot. I will ask you a question and if you can't answer, you give me £5. Then you can ask me a question and if I can't answer it I will give you £500." The idiot says "Okay". The genius asks "How many continents are there in the world"?. The idiot does not know the answer so hands over £5 and asks the genius "What animal stands with two legs but sleeps with three?". The genius thinks, searches very hard but has to give up and hands over £500.The genius is very annoyed and says "What is the answer?". The idiot gives him a fiver and says "I don't know".

1. With effect from 14 April 2014 classic vehicle tax exemption has been moved forward by a year to 1 January 1974. This will mean that vehicles manufactured in 1973 will then be exempt from road tax - only a small concession but a move in the right direction!

2. In the past owners who have declared SORN (Statutory Off Road Notification) on their vehicles have had to renew it annually - this has now changed and SORN declarations are open ended; in other words they won't cease until such time that you choose to tax (or scrap) the vehicle.

3. With effect from April 2015 the permitted speed for LGV Vehicles (over 7.5 tonnes) on roads where the National Speed limit applies will be raised from 40mph to 50 mph.
